Veeay.com is meant to be a safer alternative to other social networking sites. A strong wall of defense on Veeay.com is the registration process. Veeay.com requires members meet specific qualifications in order to complete registration and use Veeay.

• Members must have a passcode to join, which are handed out by promoters and other students 10-15.
• In order to protect the integrity of the codes some features are implemented:
• Veeay.com can track the number of people an individual Veeayer distributes the code to
• A single Veeay code can be used up to 10 times
• Veeay will be flagged at each step of access code tracking in order to insure the codes are given to the appropriate audience. If a Veeayer has breeched the terms of agreement – the account may be deleted and the access code will expire. At any time and for any reason a member can lose privlages to an access code to distribute. Veeay moderators will be able to investigate all users who registered with any banned access code.
• User access codes are renewed every 30 days. The code that each user has to invite other members will change every 30 days to ensure the code is not spread to people the user does not know.

• Members must be between the ages of 10-15, by birth date. Once turning 16, user’s accounts are suspended. They are warned everyday, beginning 30 days before their 16th birthday.
• Members must live in Virginia, qualified by a Virginia zip code at sign-up.
• Users must be 10-15 years old to register for Veeay, and the zip code they supply must be within 30 miles of their chosen school.
• Parent education release, members must check a box accepting that they have informed their parent of their participation.

Veeay.com is dedicated to protecting members online and ensuring they have the knowledge to protect themselves.

• E-mail addresses and other personal contact information are NOT collected from members, so members can retrieve their password only by answering the security question they choose.
• Once registered, new members will go through a fun, flash-based online safety tutorial. They will have to click through the tutorial to ensure they see all of the information provided.
• Members must pass a short quiz related to the content of the safety tutorial in order to access their profile and interact with Veeay for the first time.
