TIPS FOR PARENTS

Veeay.com provides many features to protect its members, however the best line of defensive is a member’s own awareness of their online activities. Here are some tips for parents and members to have fun and be safe while on Veeay.com:

• Veeay requires each member to go through an internet safety tutorial, but the tutorial is always available for review. Go back over the tutorial together with your son or daughter and talk about the topics.
• If a member sees anything suspicious, let them know they can talk to you about it. Teens will talk if they know a parent will help them without banning access. Keep in mind that most online interactions on Veeay are safe and friendly, but being  able to spot when one is suspicious is very important.
• Keep an open dialog between your teen, sometimes for parents these sites can be overwhelming, but the best option is to be aware of your son or daughter’s participation and have an open dialog about it.
